Power Smart New Home Program
This program offers the new home builder many initiatives and programs designed to promote energy efficiency when building your new home. The ideal time to incorporate Power Smart features such as extra insulation and better heating, water and lighting systems is when one is building his/her home. Comfort and energy savings are two obvious benefits of a Power Smart homes for their owners. Also they are contributing to a cleaner environment because these homes reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change. When you build your home to the minimum Power Smart standard, you are eligible to receive up to $1000 towards the purchase of a front-loading washing machine.
